This piece was made with dishes from a client’s grandmother. The granddaughter called me and said that her mother had given her a box of her grandmother’s old dishes. Her mother didn’t really have space or a need for them, but couldn’t bear to throw them away. The daughter really didn’t have a use or storage for them either, but wanted to have them as a keepsake of grandmother’s kitchen.

It was a true joy to make this mosaic knowing that so much love had been put in the dishes.
